MISSION

UCAST Laboratories and Ateliers aim

to meet the experimental, analysis and measurement needs of especially the students and academicians of International University as well as other universities, public and private institutions;
to provide an efficient and creative practical work environment to our associate, undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students;
to bring the scientific research to a higher level by sharing the knowledge and experiences about the instruments and techniques used in our laboratories;
to provide scientific information about tests, analysis, equipment and facilities that will respond to research needs;
to increase the international scientific project participation of our university and other institutions by providing the opportunity for interdisciplinary and inter-institutional studies

The UCAST Industrial Placement Taskforce team provides opportunities for UCAST students and graduates to engage with industry and secure employment across all disciplines. We offer a range of industry engagement services including end-to-end recruitment, on-campus visits, career fairs and targeted promotions.

How can I contact Careers Network?

We have lots of useful information and advice on our website, but if you would like to speak to someone you can book an appointment. Careers advice appointments are available Monday to Friday via DR Teams, telephone or in person. For any other queries email info@ucast.ac or phone us on 01509 288765.

I need help with job applications, what should I do?

You’ll find a wealth of resources in the Make applications section of our website. Once you have used these to wro work on your applications, we can answer any queries you have and give feedback on applications in our careers advice appointments, available via IR Teams, telephone or in person.

How can I access Enterprise and Business Support?

Enterprise and Business support is provided by the UCAST Enterprise Network (UEN). Information on a wide-range of internal and external support (resources, opportunities and business interruption loans, for example) is available on their website. If you would like to speak to a member of the team, start by booking a Careers Advice appointment and take it from there.

I plan to go out on placement next academic year, where can I get some advice?

Advice on getting a placement can be found on our Industrial Placement section. Here you will find details of your dedicated Placement Officer who can provide tailored support for students in your school.
